FCSCS Legislative Awareness

As a Licensee in Saskatchewan, you need to be aware of the legislation which governs the funeral profession in this province. The Funeral and Cremation Services Council of Saskatchewan (FCSCS) is charged with administering the Funeral and Cremation Services Act, the Funeral and Cremation Services Regulations and the Bylaws of Council, however licensees will also encounter situations where other provincial legislation applies.  This course was designed to provide you with the awareness you need to fulfill your duties and serve families within a variety of legislated requirements. 

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:   

• Explain the legislative framework which governs the funeral profession in the Province of Saskatchewan.   
• Locate specific legislation that addresses common situations that arise in the funeral profession.   

• Locate other provincial legislation that also applies to your function as a licensee.   

This course is approved for continuing education in the following provinces: Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Saskatchewan.
